Greg Blatt — Author and A Professor Of Business, Marketing, And International Law

He has authored the “Expert’s Guide to Working with Foreigners in America,” published in 2013 by Harvard Business Review Press. He has also written several books on market research, marketing strategy, and international law. His latest book is: “Marketing for Lawyers: How to Increase Profits without Increasing Costs,” co-authored by Peter Dolan Simmons/Barrister & Barrister. It was published in 2016 by ABA Publishing. In 2009 he wrote “The Truth About Market Research”. He began his career as a researcher at IBM.

His Achievements

He has written six books and more than 50 articles and is a past president of the Market Research Association. He was previously editor-in-chief of “ERIM Report,” a worldwide market research industry publication. He served as research director at the PRC Group, one of the nation’s top market research firms. He is currently a member of the editorial board at “The International Journal of Market Research.”

In addition to holding a doctorate in marketing, he is also an attorney and has taught Management and Business Law at NYU Stern Business School.

Blatt is a very successful seminar leader who has spoken worldwide on various topics, including market research, consumer trends, and international business. Fortune 500 firms and small businesses have called on him to address their issues concerning these areas.

He held an honorary professorship at IUSP in Rome and was awarded an honorary degree from IUSP in 2014 for his work on international commercial law.

Greg Blatt was involved in preparing the concept and initial text for a document developed by the Business Meetings Working Group of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law UNCITRAL, which resulted in the creation of the Barcelona treaty. He also organized a conference on international business meetings sponsored by Japan, Italy, and India.

He has lectured at Harvard Law School, Georgetown University, NYU Stern, Columbia University, The World Bank, and many other institutions worldwide.

Before 1987 he worked as a research director at The PRC Group(now known as PSI Research), one of NY’s leading market research companies.

Greg Blatt is the owner of Greg Blatt Global Market Insights, LLC. At PRC, he inaugurated and directed the company’s worldwide strategic business development efforts. He worked with top management at Hilton Hotels, Cunard Line, and Xerox PARC. He also launched several new and successful services for The PRC Group, including the company’s first public relations service and a revenue-generating account management program. Before working at The PRC Group, Greg worked for five years at IBM in marketing research.
