How Luke Lazarus Ended Up in Such an Enviable Position

A self-employed and self-made entrepreneur, Lazarus did not set out to establish his consulting firm.

A graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE), he went on to work at Accenture as a management consultant after college, where he received training in strategy consulting and deal structuring.

At Accenture, Lazarus was able to hone his business acumen and further develop the skills which would later help him build The Lazarus Effect into a large-scale company that has no trouble finding new clients willing to pay handsomely for their services.

According to Lazarus, there are two factors behind his success: a unique ability to bring together people from disparate backgrounds and put them in positions where they can interact efficiently and a knack for cultivating creative new business opportunities on the fly.

In a recent interview, Lazarus was asked what he thought the future held for the marketing industry.

“I think we will see more and more marketing agencies offering their clients an alternative way to work,” he said.

“More and more companies will be willing to pay marketing consultants working on a project basis instead of hiring them as full-time employees.”
